Send a quote, or decline
For brokersSend a round of quotes
- Choose Add a quote, attach the quotation (PDF, photo, Word or Excel, up to 20 MB), and add the insurer, the premium, excess, sum insured, the date it is valid until and a note for the client. Choose Add to this round. Add as many as you judge; the client sees nothing until you send the round.
- Choose Send to the customer. A round goes with at least three quotes. With fewer, write Why fewer than three and choose Send with the reason: the client reads it beside the quotes.
- The client sees the round side by side, in your order, and Covarage never ranks them. The case moves to Ready, and the client is told by email.
Decline instead
- Before you send a round, choose More, then Decline case. A request from Covarage's network, declined by a Director or Manager, goes on to the next brokerage in turn; a client's own request, or a review or renewal of a policy you look after, goes back to the client to choose where to send it. Covarage sees your reason; the next brokerage and the client do not.
Good to know
- Added a quote by mistake? Choose Remove before you send.
- Once you have sent a round, the client stays with you for that request.
